- You don’t even need a website to be listed in the “Local Results” section but MyLocalProfile™ will provide you with your own page in their business directory which you can use as either a primary or auxiliary site for your business.
- It only costs $149 annually per location (that’s less than a simple yellow pages listing).
Q. How will my business listing and information be found using this service?
A. When a consumer or Business to Business buyer types in a search request using a city or town name as well as a product or Service, you offer on your LocalProfile™ (for example ‘Chicago mechanic), your business will appear under the search engine’s “Local Results” section. The specific information which will appear on the search engine depends on the individual search engine's rules and local search results parameters.
Q. Where will my business listing appear?
A. Your profile information will be distributed across the top tier search engines including Google, Yahoo!, and MSN; where 80% of all search traffic occurs. It will also be sent across several Internet yellow pages platforms including YellowPages.com, Superpages.com, CitySearch.com, and Switchboard.com as well as second tier search directories such as Judy's Book.com and InsiderPages.com which have targeted and growing audiences.
Q. My business is already listed under some “Local Results” sections but not others, what’s going on?
A. In an effort to populate their respective “Local Results” sections, search engines are getting unedited data from a variety of sources and data providers. The various search engines may, or may not, list your business, let alone show your information completely and accurately.
Further, each search engine and local search property has its own rules, regulations and procedures for listing and editing information shown on their respective site. Because of this, it can be very difficult and time consuming for a given business to either create or manage their business information across the various Internet search properties without using MyLocalProfile™.
Q. What information about my business is included in my profile?
A. Business information including address(es), telephone number, hours of operation, products and services offered, payment
methods and business description is the basis of the information. MyLocalProfile™ will also syndicate information including a map of the location, and keyword headings which describe your business. This information is distributed across the major search engines.
Q. How often can I update my information?
A. You can Update/Change your business information anytime you wish. You'll have sole access to change your information as often as you wish. Please note, however, that MyLocalProfile™ cannot control when the respective search properties will update their files and changes, which may take up to 4-8 weeks to appear on the various Internet platforms.
Q. Can I use an 800 number in my profile?
A. Toll free numbers may be listed in the profile in addition to a local number but there must be a local presence for local search to be used. Toll free marketers without a brick and mortar presence are better served using pay per click marketing and search engine optimization or Internet Yellow Pages to market themselves geographically.
Q. I have multiple locations. Is there a quantity discount?
A. Multiple locations are billed at $149 per year for up to 24 locations. Please inquire about special discounts for 25 and over locations.
